It appears that this special place will be permanently changed with the construction of an unnecessary road (don't take my word for it read the official rationale) called the Briggs-DeLaine-Pearson Connector from Rimini to Lone Star. With government al all levels strapped for funds one must wonder why we are spending more than 7.3 million dollars for a road no one needs that will greatly impact an ecological treasure that could be a big tourism attraction.
